The weather looks amenable for this Saturday in terms of temperature, but there is a 40% chance of showers. The hourly forecasts as of Thursday the 8th shows temperature of 62F at 7 am up to 68F at 10 am. But, there is really high humidity early on at 97% dropping to 81% at 10 am. That puts 152R Index values at 159, 154 and 153, respectively, for the first 3-hrs. So, although it will be cool in terms of temperature, you should assume that sweating response will not be as effective in cooling core temperature, so pay close attention to fluid intake and how you feel in those first 2-hrs and adjust pace and intake accordingly.
Aid stations should be at all the usual shelters, plus at the bench at the little park at Grand Blvd at ca 8.44-mi out. Intermediates running 12-mi will have to go a few tenths mile further for aid at the 45th St shelter. If you don't need the fluids, then simply turn it back at 6-mi mark and resort to Ave B shelter.
That's it for this Saturday!
