Trials & Tribulations as a Coach

Ya, it has been a long road we have hauled in this training, as well as my own. I think most of you are faring quite well, or those few dancing with the "injury-devil" seem to have the right perspective how to approach their upcoming race (just as your Coach knows and dances with the devil for Chicago Marathon).

But, you have no worry about your Coach because he knows what to do and how to adjust and adapt! All of you focus on your upcoming race and just what you need to do to make it happen. And I will be with you, just like the Who, and their oh-so famous song, Baba Oreilly. Check that song out, their might be a contest in the future about it!

You're on a journey, down a path you may not have been before, but you will make it, because you trained as we instructed0 - that is my guarantee to your success. Ya, I can't predict things that go wrong or "injury-demons" manifest themselves, but you will start that race with the confidence that you have done your training and you are capable of making it. That's all this Coach expects and nothing less.

Training is training. You just do it! Running the marathon is the culmination of that training and you find a way to make your goal happen. The ability to do that is in your training, the will to make it happen is a different aspect, but you can if you have kept cognizant of everything I have promoted for you to consider and for you to do.

And, you will do it because all this Coach has done is gone along with you for the ride and tried to keep you motivated and confident that you will finish this marathon-thing out to your goal(s). My job is to figure out best to get you all there. I think I have done that, but fore anyone that thinks otherwise, well then maybe you should just request I run a training run alongside with you. I can do that because I am a Coach and it is you that matters most!

Go with the Tao, go with the flow, I recognize you are all there and we are oh-so close to doing it! Keep up the great work - just do it!

peace,
